For this question, I was able to recall that messages are broken up into packets from out tech talk. Each individual packet contains data that is transmitted. There is also metadata that is used for routing and reassembling the data once it is received - allowing the packets to be received in any order while being able to be reassembled correctly.
After answering this question, I grew an interest in regards to the topic of protocols and found that protocols are agreed-upon a specific sets of rules that identifies the behavior of a given system. Protocols can be utilized on the Internet, as it can enable devices from various companies use a standardized form of communication.
This problem was quite straightforward, I used prior knowledge that the Internet is an interconnected network of many different networks. The Internet allows access to the World Wide Web (information system).
